Six Bangladeshi travel journalists arrive to boost tourism

Six Bangladeshi travel journalists – four writers and two photographers arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday on an eight-day familiarisation tour.

The members of the Bangladesh Travel Writers Association (BTWA) will get opportunities to visit notable tourist spots in Sri Lanka during their stay on the invitation of the Ministry of Tourism and facilitated by Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau (SLTPB).

SriLankan Airlines is the proud host as the airliner of this tour. Accommodations and other facilities will be carried over by the Tourism Ministry and SLTPB. The Sri Lankan High Commission in Dhaka is coordinating the tour from Bangladesh whilst the Bangladesh High Commission in Sri Lanka is also extending support.

BTWA President Ashrafuzzaman Uzzal is leading the visiting travel journalists. Others are MD Zakaria Mondol, S.M. Sajjad Hossain, Abir Abdullah, Azim Khan Ronnie and Shakil Bin Mushtaq.
