The people among the Stupa builders

These two people had been constructing the spire (Koth Karalla) of the Stupa. They are standing inside the halfway completed section of the Koth Karelle (spire) of the Stupa. The wall that appears behind them is the wall of the spire. Soon they will fill the void in which they are standing and will continue the construction upwards.

Another observation of the construction site was there were no women working there and it kind of reflects the gendered social beliefs about who gets to participate in the construction of these religious places ,who are culturally assigned to worship ,and who are running these religious places.
