I took the picture in Tangalle, in the very south of Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka is mostly Buddhist. Nevertheless, in addition to Buddhist temples, there is also a mosque and a Catholic church in the small town. But Buddhism clearly determines everyday life here. Even the cinema advertisement in the background, which I have taken down a bit, must somehow be compatible with Buddhist customs.
