The sun is getting low in the sky and adds a golden hue to this scene at Kandy Diesel Depot in Sri Lanka.
A couple of depot workers take a 5 minute breather from their afternoons activities.
The depot approach is lined with lush banana trees and leads our eyes to a Class M6 number 797 built by Thyssen-Henschel under license from EMD. 16 were imported in 1979 and are powered by an EMD 645 V12 giving 1650hp. Next to her is a Hunslet Y Class shunter number 683 built in 1970 and powered with a 530hp Rolls Royce engine.
