Many of these temples in Sri Lanka have a long and narrow inner sanctum with a semi-supine Buddha like this. You enter the room at one end and walk out the other, but you don’t have enough room to stand halfway down the room to take a photo. So you can only take a picture from one end of the room.

I had already taken a number of Buddha photos like this, so this was just a casual shot. I focused on the face of the Buddha and I was pleasantly surprised that so much of the scene was in pretty good focus.
