Abstract:
Image of small box which contains a Sinhalese palm-leaf manuscript calendar (ca. 1800) from NLM’s MS S1 section. Pasted inside the box is a typewritten note describing its contents and identifying the donor, Dr. Casey Wood (1856-1942) of Chicago, a prominant Canadian ophthalmologist and collector. Dr. Wood’s introductory text gives a snapshot of activities and remedies best applied under a favorable horoscope.
