Négombo (Sri Lanka) – Chaque matin, j’allais prendre un infâme café dans la petite gargote sur la gauche. Celle qui est à gauche sur la photo. Pas dans le salon de coiffure. Café infâme, mais ambiance sympathique.
Mon hôtel étant à proximité, je passais plusieurs fois pas jour dans cette. Quand j’ai pris cette photo, c’est l’ombrelle colorée et le pas dynamique de cet homme qui ont retenu mon attention. Mais comme le soleil était déjà très haut dans le ciel, j’ai hésité avant de déclencher. Finalement le capteur du Nikon D 800 a bien encaissé. Avec un film Kodachrome 64, l’une des meilleure diapositive, aurait été terriblement contrastée. C’est ce jour là que je me suis dit que le numérique était une invention géniale.

Negombo (Sri Lanka) – Every morning I went to have an infamous coffee in the little tavern on the left. The one on the left in the photo. Not in the barber shop. Infamous cafe, but friendly atmosphere.
My hotel being nearby, I spent several times a day in this. When I took this photo, it was this man’s colorful umbrella and dynamic step that caught my attention. But since the sun was already very high in the sky, I hesitated before shooting. Finally, the sensor of the Nikon D 800 took good advantage. With a Kodachrome 64 film, one of the best slides, would have been terribly contrasted. It was that day that I told myself that digital technology was a brilliant invention.
