In Sri Lanka’s Puttalam District, women are leading the way towards creating a cleaner and healthier environment.

Together with local authorities, UNOPS is helping create livelihood opportunities for women by providing training in recycling.

Funded by the UN Peacebuilding Fund, the initiative is part of a wider project implemented by UNOPS, UN Women and Chrysalis to improve waste management and prevent conflict in Sri Lanka.
