Mixed Goods To Kandy

This shot was taken approximately 5 kilometers west of Demodara station on the mountain line between Kandy and Badula It features a class M6 number 786 on the mixed freight service departing 1100 from Badula to Kandy.
It was a beautiful morning so i decided to walk the track until i found a decent shot. This was the first clearing that offered me a photo opportunity, i really liked what i thought was the volcanic rock with the nice layering effect. There were small monkeys all around this spot that kept me company whilst waiting for the train.
