Thailand: Bangkok, Don Muang International Airport, SriLankan Airlines Airbus A330-200
Pretty certain this will be on a stopover heading for either Hong Kong or Beijing. The airlines predecessor – Air Lanka; was the first airline I flew with to Bangkok, in 1983. That plane was a Lockheed Tristar and possibly the one destroyed by the Tamil Tigers, at Colombo airport in 1986, during the civil war. Later, the airline acquired a new fleet and was rebranded.
In 2001 the airport was attacked again and, among other casualties, two A330’s were destroyed; more details here:
