Kiri Kos | Cooking with Aunty D

 

Ingredients:

Kiri Kos (Jackfruit) 400g 

Green Chilli 2 nos

Curry Leaves/Rampe `

Bombay Onion 1 

Turmeric ¼ tsp 

Curry Powder 1 tsp 

Chilli Powder 1 tsp 

Coconut Milk 1 ½ cup 

Thick Coconut Milk 1 cup 

Oil 1 tbsp 

Red Chilli 5 nos 

Mustard Seeds ½ tsp 

Garlic 3 cloves

Bombay Onion 1 small 

Chilli Flakes 1 tsp

Fenugreek 1/4 tsp

Method:

  1. Place Kiri Kos (Jackfruit) in a pot and add jackfruit seeds. 
  2. Then add green chilli, curry leaves, bombay onion, turmeric, salt, chilli powder, curry powder and coconut milk. Cook on a low flame. 
  3. Add thick coconut milk. 
  4. Add the tempered chilli mixture. 

Tempered chilli mixture. 

  1. Heat oil and add chilli, mustard seeds, garlic, bombay onion, curry leaves and chilli flakes and fry.
