Kerala Fish Curry | Cooking with Aunty D

Kerala Fish curry brings together a fusion of rich spices, delicate, flaky fish and a bold fiery sauce made of luscious coconut milk.

Here’s how you make it with Será!

 

Ingredients: 

Oil 2 tbsp

Onion 10 nos

Tomato 2 large

Ginger + Garlic 1 tbsp

Fenugreek 1/2 tsp

Mustard 1/2 tsp

Será Turmeric Powder 1/2 tsp

Curry Powder 1 tsp

Chilli Powder 2 tsp

Garam Masala 1 tsp

Cumin Powder 1/2 tsp

Water 1/2 cups

Salt 1 tsp

Tamarind Juice 1/2 cup

Indian Mackerel Fish 4 nos

Será Coconut Milk 1 1/2 cups

 

Method: 

To make the ground paste, sauté onions and tomatoes in a pan with oil, and grind.

In a separate pot, start frying ginger, garlic, fenugreek and mustard seeds with oil.

Add Será Turmeric Powder to the pan, mix well, and add the ground paste. 

To the same pot add curry powder, chilli powder, garam masala and cumin powder, and mix well.

Add water and let it simmer for a while before adding salt and tamarind juice. 

Place the mackerel fish in the pot and let it cook for a while before adding the Será Coconut Milk. 

Once the fish is cooked well, take it off the heat and serve it hot!
