Sri Lankans Vote Dialog as the Youth Choice – Service Brand, Service Brand and Telecommunication Brand of the Year

Sri Lankan consumers voted Dialog as the ‘Youth Choice – Service Brand of the Year’ and ‘Service Brand of the Year’ for the second consecutive year and the ‘Telecommunication Brand of the Year’ for a record tenth year running at the prestigious SLIM People’s Awards 2021. Voted for by the public to recognise brands that have made a profound impression in the minds of the people of Sri Lanka, the People’s Awards crowns the brands that have captured the hearts of the people.

During an unprecedented year faced with the pandemic, Sri Lankans turned to the brands they trusted the most to help get through their challenges. These accolades presented by the people recognise Dialog’s exemplary commitment towards addressing societal challenges posed by COVID-19 and its unwavering efforts in supporting its customers, colleagues, communities and the country.

The ‘Youth Choice – Service Brand of the Year’ award celebrates brand loyalty amid consumer trends and is a recognition by the youth of Sri Lanka for not only addressing the need for meaningful change, but also helping to amplify it through powerful innovations accessible to all. Celebrating Dialog’s expansive portfolio of innovative service offerings and technological advancements, Sri Lankan youth voted for the brand they felt best unites them and form the nation’s overarching experiences.

The ’Service Brand of the Year’ award, which recognises the best service provider across all service industries, is a testament to the diverse range of inclusive and accessible services offered by Dialog, harnessing the transformative power of technology. This, together with the Company’s dedication towards delivering ‘Service from the Heart’, places customer experience and service delivery excellence at the centre of its corporate ethos.

Dialog was also awarded the ‘Telecommunication Brand of the Year’ for a record tenth year running; recognising the delivery on its commitment of empowering and enriching Sri Lankan lives and enterprises. This year was the fifteenth consecutive year of the ‘SLIM People’s Awards’. It is organized by the Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing, the national body for marketing in Sri Lanka. The awardees for various categories are chosen solely by people’s verdict through a nationwide quantitative face to face research, covering males and females between the ages of 15 to 60 years, over a period of five months using a structured questionnaire. The Awards recognize brands and personalities that personally appeal to the minds of the people of Sri Lanka.
