Vogue – Have you ever wondered just what Naomi Campbell carries in her handbag? Exclusively for Vogue, the supermodel and March 2023’s Vogue India cover star reveals the essential items she always has tucked into her Fendi Peekaboo bag. Campbell never goes anywhere without one of her eight iPods so she can listen to her music uninterrupted. “It’s all on here, hours and hours and hours [of music],” she says. “I’m very old fashioned, I don’t like to have my music on my phone, I like to have it on my iPod because on your phone, when you’re listening to music and it rings, it cuts it off.”

Given the amount of time that she spends travelling around the world, it’s no surprise that she has on hand a menu of items to keep her going on the move: her trusty hand sanitiser and face mask, the lip conditioner that she always uses, especially when she’s flying, the ginger and Samahan teas to boost her digestion and immune system, potassium powder and the sachets of Sanopal Forte she swears by. “This is for when you’re extremely tired and you need a boost,” she says. “I got this in Austria, I’m not sure where you get it here but it does help.”

She stays flawless with the help of a face roller that she uses after she’s moisturised (“I roll it downwards, everything always goes downwards: roll, sculpt, roll sculpt.”) and an eyeshadow palette by Pat McGrath. “She’s like a family member to me,” says Campbell. “And I love Pat’s colours because they’re so potent, you can play around with them even if you don’t know how to do makeup. I love Pat’s makeup, it’s dewy, shiny, hydrated.” Campbell carries a hydrating moisture spray, too, that she uses whenever she remembers.

One of the most personal items in her bag is her Alaïa credit-card holder. “This is something that I got from my papa, Azzedine Alaia, before he passed away and I always use it. I always have something with me Alaïa, if I’m not wearing something of his I carry this.” She has her daughter’s colourful toy phone, too, to help keep her entertained. “She always likes to be on my phone so I carry hers so she doesn’t have to be on mine.”
