Another phase of the “Leadership for the Future” educational programme, jointly organized by HNB FINANCE PLC and One Two One Sanda TV Media Academy, was successfully completed at the Sanda TV premises recently.
This programme aims to develop presentation skills, speech and language skills, which are important in the personality development of children, through a series of educational workshops. More than 50 children representing different age groups joined this year’s programme.
Several workshops were held, offering both theoretical insights and practical skills in the areas of children’s personality development, breathing exercises, programme presentation techniques, performance arts, creative communication strategies, voiceover training, scriptwriting for drama, announcement and news delivery, and innovative social media utilization.
Prominent experts and preachers from around the island joined the programme as resource persons, and a special lecture was conducted for parents and children by HNB FINANCE Training Department Head Anura Udawatta, on recognizing life’s problems and financial literacy. At the end of the workshop, a valuable certificate was also presented to all the children who took part.
Commenting on the occasion, HNB FINANCE PLC Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Chaminda Prabhath noted that “over the past decade, we managed to organize various programmes across the country to empower the children of our nation with knowledge and skills, as part of our commitment to our corporate social responsibility strategy. While our collaboration with One Two One Sanda TV Media Academy currently focuses on imparting valuable knowledge and skills among children, we look forward to establishing this series of programmes nation-wide, at the school level.”
