In Sri Lanka, South of Colombo the railway line follows the coast all the way to Galle and beyond to Matara. It is a spectacular train ride with stunning views of the Indian Ocean and the coastal communities.
Class M8 number 877 is seen running along this coast line at Mount Lavinia famous for its beautiful beaches. Hotels, bars and restaurants are built next to the beach, behind the train is an unfinished hotel which will most likly remain in this state for years to come and serve as an eyesore in an otherwise beautiful area.
In the distance can be seen the sprawling city and docks of Colombo.
877 was working the 1510 from Maradana to Matara.
