Spicy Potato Curry | Cooking with Aunty D


Oil 1 tbsp

Fenugreek 1/2 tsp

Cumin 1/4 tsp

Sweet Cumin 1/2 tsp

Cinnamon 1/2 inch

Cardamom 2 pods

Garlic 3 cloves

Curry Leaves


Big Onion 1 medium

Turmeric 1/4 tsp

Curry Powder 1/2 tsp

Chilli Powder 1 tbsp

Salt 1 1/2 tsp

Potatoes 500g

Thin Coconut Milk 1 cup

Thick Coconut Milk 1 1/2 cups

Green and Red Chillis 6 nos


First, add oil into a pan followed by fenugreek, cumin, sweet cumin, cinnamon, cardamoms, garlic, curry leaves, rampe, big onion and mix well.

Next, add turmeric, curry powder, chilli powder, salt, potatoes, think coconut milk, mix well and cover the pan with a lid allowing the potatoes to cook well.

Next, add thick coconut milk into the pan, followed by red and green chillis and cover the pan with a lid once again.

Finally, once the potatoes are cooked completely, remove the pan from the heat and serve accordingly.
