Spicy Mixed Seafood Masala | Cooking with Aunty D

Beware the heat, but that won’t stop you from gobbling this fin-tastic dish down!

Here are the simple steps to make a spicy mixed seafood masala curry at home. 

Ingredients:

Green Chilli 3 nos 

Big Onion 1 large 

Garlic 3 cloves 

Ginger 1/2 inch 

Tomato 1 large 

Cuttlefish 200 g 

Thalapath Fish 200 g 

Prawns 200 g

Oil 1 tbsp 

Fenugreek 1/4 tsp 

Mustard Seeds 1/4 tsp 

Bay Leaves 3 nos 

Cardamom 3 nos

Turmeric 1/2 tsp 

Curry Powder 1 tsp 

Chilli Powder 1 tsp 

Salt 1 ½ tsp 

Garam Masala 1 tsp

Red Chilli 3 nos

Water  1 1/2 cups 

Coriander Leaves  

Lime Juice

 

Method: 

Slice the green chilli, onion, tomato, cuttlefish and thalapath fish. 

Make a garlic and ginger paste and leave aside.

Heat oil in a pan, and start frying fenugreek, mustard seeds, bay leaves and cardamom.

Next, add the ginger and garlic paste, sliced onion and tomato to the same pan. 

Add turmeric powder, curry powder, chilli powder, salt and garam masala and stir to combine. 

Add the sliced thalapath fish, cuttlefish, prawns, green and red chillis and salt to the pan, and mix well. 

Add water and let it simmer.

Turn off the heat and add coriander leaves and lime juice for a final touch. 

Give it one last mix and enjoy!
