Scalloped Potatoes | Cooking with Aunty D

Elevate the season’s spirit with these Scalloped Potatoes – a fancy and delicious side to any dinner table!


Sliced Potatoes 500 g

Big Onion 1 large

Flour 1/2 cup

Pepper 3/4 tsp

Salt 1 1/2 tsp

Butter 1/2 cup

Cheese 1/4 cup

Fresh Milk 1 1/2 cup



Make a layer of thinly sliced potatoes, and big onion rings in an oven-safe pan.

Next, sprinkle flour, pepper and salt to cover the layers evenly. 

Add dollops of butter, followed by a generous layer of shredded cheese.

Repeat the above mentioned three steps twice more and pour milk over the layered mixture.

Place the pan in the oven at 160°C for 25 to 30 minutes until the potatoes are tender.

Carefully take it out of the oven and enjoy!
