Milk Toffee | Cooking with Aunty D

We all grew up eating this delicious fudgy treat but did you know how easy it is to make it at home? Here’s Aunty D’s take on Sri Lankan milk toffee!

Ingredients:

Condensed Milk 500 g

Water 1/2 cup

Sugar 400 g

Vanilla 1 tsp

Butter 15 g

Cashew 150 g

Method:

Start by adding condensed milk and water to a non-stick pot and mix well.

Add sugar to the pot and stir continuously to prevent any clumps from forming.
When the mixture starts bubbling up, add vanilla extract and stir.

Mix in butter and cashews while continuously stirring till the mixture turns light golden brown in colour.

Take the pot off the heat, pour it into a square tray lined with parchment paper and let it cool down.

Cut the fudge into bite-sized squares and dig in!
