Another great spot for fine dining and romantic fancy dinner date! This is perfect for when you want to celebrate an occasion like an anniversary. While maintaining a constant great name for its steak, you definitely can’t go wrong with the class here. Seafood is great, especially the lobster bisque, which is prepared by your tableside. This high-end steakhouse also has a wonderful vintage feel to it with its bricked wall interior and decorated crests and lamps. Great ambience, great food and great company. We are sold!

Berlin Sky Lounge
Berlin Sky Lounge is a traditional rooftop bar that keeps up-to-date with its slick ambience and offers you a 360-degree view of the Colombo skyline. Give it a try. Get wrapped in a cold breeze with your sweetheart over a moonlit dinner. Sunsets aren’t too bad either.

Zylan is a beautiful boutique hotel down Rosmead Place that has the prettiest rooftop restaurant. This stunning luxury villa has actually been out of everyone’s radars (and it shouldn’t be!). The building structure and its interior is art in itself. It’s super private for a cosy date and not to mention, it’s BYOB!

Robata Grill and Lounge

This place is exclusive, private and mind-bogglingly pretty – another great spot for a candlelit date! Watch out for the mosquitoes because it is out in the open, and also the price tag.

Nihonbashi ( Yakitori Garden and Honten)
Besides being one of the best Japanese restaurants serving fine Japanese cuisine here in Sri Lanka, you can choose between the painstakingly elegant Yakitori Garden and Nihonbashi Honten, both recommended. Yakitori Garden offers a menu serving a plethora of chicken variants while having an offer of 50 % discount on weekdays for dine-in customers (between 6 and 8 pm). Honten, on the other hand, is the epitome of serenity with its minimalist bamboo atrium housing the sushi bar to the Zen rock gardens.

Breeze Barracuda
Barracuda, one of the few consistent names in the Colombo food scene over the years, hardly ever fails to amaze. Yet again Italian. With wood-fired ovens, brick walls and racked up wine, the authenticity here is impeccable. Everything from cuisine to fairy lights invite romance, you just have to dive right in.

The Embazzy
One of the most affordable, cosy and classy interiors making everyone turn heads on Flower Road. Personally vouching for the food, the portions are enormous and masterfully done so you won’t have to second guess the quality of food when taking your boo out here. The service is fast but we recommend sitting inside during the afternoon (you don’t want to swat insects away now do you?) and outdoors in the evening under the foliage. Go upstairs for some privacy. Recommended for a casual date.
