Ever tried halwa? The traditional Indian dessert is made with either semolina or carrots, plus cardamom and nuts.
Why not take it up a notch and make it with APPLES? Here’s how!
Apple 2 nos
Ghee 1 tbsp
Cashew 1/8 cup
Sugar 1/2 cup
Cardamom Powder 1/2 tsp
Peel, deseed and cut the apples into cube-sized pieces, and mash them well.
To a pan, add ghee and toast the cashews.
Remove the cashews from the pan, leaving the remaining ghee inside the pan.
Heat the same pan on medium heat, add the mashed apples and sugar, and stir to combine.
Add cardamom powder to the pan and continue stirring.
Finally, mix in the toasted cashews and serve!
