Authorities arrested a Sri Lankan passenger at Bandaranaike International Airport in Katunayake for attempting to smuggle 38 exotic pets into Sri Lanka. The animals were valued at nearly Rs 1 million, and the suspect faces charges under the Fauna and Flora Protection Ordinance and the Animal Diseases Act, report says.
