Sri Lanka’s SLBFE proposed a monthly allowance of Rs 10,000 for children aged 2–13 of overseas workers, provided they are enrolled in daycare centers. The decision was discussed by the Ministerial Consultative Committee on Women and Child Affairs. Announcement date: May 19, 2026.
