More than half a million vehicles used Sri Lanka’s expressways during the Sinhala and Tamil New Year travel period, according to AdaDerana. Reports indicate over 520,000 travelers used expressways, with around 500,000 doing so in the past four days as people headed to their hometowns for celebrations.
