A double murder suspect in Dikoya, Hatton, escaped custody while being treated in hospital early today, but was re-arrested in Bogawantalawa. Police say the suspect is linked to the killing of an elderly couple inside a Dikoya shop. Source: Ada Derana, May 27, 2026.
