An Amber advisory has been issued by the Department of Meteorology for severe lightning across multiple regions in Sri Lanka: Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western, North-Central, Southern and Uva provinces, plus Mannar, Vavuniya, Ampara and Batticaloa districts.
