SLS certification to be made mandatory for plastic bottles and children s items from April 2026
Starting April 2026, obtaining Sri Lanka Standards (SLS) certification will be mandatory for manufacturers of plastic items, including feeding bottles and lunch boxes for schoolchildren, according to Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe.
