Bill to introduce anti-defection laws for MPs to be tabled in Parliament soon
Sri Lanka plans to table a bill soon to revoke MPs’ seats if they defect to another party after election. Cabinet Spokesperson Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa indicated the anti-defection law aims to curb party-switching and uphold voters’ mandate.
