Former SLPP candidate Sampath Manamperi confessed to supplying the firearm used in the February 2025 murders of Aruna Widanagamage, alias “Kajja,” and his children. He admitted to transporting firearms for other murders and using political connections to aid a drug trafficking network, with police investigations ongoing.
