President Anura Kumara Dissanayake inaugurated the 20 MW Windscape Mannar wind power plant on January 15, 2026. This project, built by CEYLEX Renewables, supports the government’s goal of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2050, having been officially connected to the national grid.
