Sri Lanka’s Fisheries Ministry says it cannot take a position on a fishermen’s protest until February 27. Deputy Minister Rathna Gamage said the Satyagraha campaign, led by fishermen seeking repeal of the tractor-mounted winch ban for Madel (seine nets) fishing, requires further consideration.
