A suspected drug trafficker received a 15-year rigorous imprisonment sentence from the Colombo High Court for attempting to murder a Police Narcotics Bureau officer during a drug raid in Dehiwala over 17 years ago. The sentencing was delivered by Judge Lanka Jayaratne.
