Death certificates have been issued for 525 people who died from landslides and floods caused by Cyclone Ditwah, according to Chandana Abeyratne, Sri Lanka’s Minister of Public Administration, Provincial Councils and Local Government. The update was reported via AdaDerana RSS on January 21, 2026.
