All 67 passengers, including a foreign woman, were successfully rescued from a flood-stranded bus on the Kalawewa Bridge by security forces. The passengers had climbed onto the rooftop of a nearby residence after floodwaters trapped the vehicle along the Anuradhapura-Puttalam road.
