The Department of Meteorology has issued an Amber advisory for severe lightning across Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western and Uva provinces, and the Galle, Matara, Anuradhapura, Mannar and Vavuniya districts in Sri Lanka, on April 14, 2026.
