The Department of Meteorology forecasts fairly heavy rainfall across parts of Sri Lanka, with showers or thundershowers in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Southern, North-Western and Uva provinces, plus Ampara, Batticaloa and Polonnaruwa districts, beginning after 1:00 p.m.
