The Attorney General did not represent the Speaker in a petition challenging the suspension of Chaminda Kularatne, former Deputy Secretary General of Parliament. The Speaker was named as a respondent, while President’s Counsel K. Kanag-Isvaran appeared before the Court of Appeal on the Speaker’s behalf.
