India inaugurated a 240-foot Bailey Bridge on the Chilaw–Thoduwawa Road in Sri Lanka, connecting Thoduwawa and Iranawila. Presented as the longest extra-wide Bailey Bridge, it was installed under India’s post-Ditwah reconstruction assistance programme and inaugurated on March 18, 2026, per AdaDerana.
