The Kalutara Magistrate’s Court granted bail to Kalutara Municipal Council member Jayanath Navaratne, who was arrested in connection with an assault on a motorcyclist during a protest by Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) activists in Kalutara town. He was released on bail today, January 29, 2026.
