The Department of Motor Traffic now issues temporary driver’s licences at the National Transport Medical Institute in Nugegoda, effective September 30. This pilot project simplifies the renewal process, allowing applicants to obtain temporary licences directly from Nugegoda, eliminating the need to visit the Werahera Motor Traffic Office.
