The Shangri-La Hambantota Christmas Cruise recently set sail from the Hambantota International Port and kicked off the festive season with a traditional Christmas Cake mixing ceremony. The event took place with the generous support HIPG and Sri Lanka Navy.
The culinary team prepared the cake mixing batter, which featured a wonderful assortment of various nuts and spices typically used to make Christmas Cake.
Guests delighted in mixing the cake batter which will be stored until Christmas day to prepare the traditional Christmas Cake. On Christmas Eve, this mixture will be blended with cake batter to make cakes, cookies, bread, mince pie and much more.
