I don’t buy MB Big Ben puzzles too often these days, mainly because I already have examples of most of the late 1980s early 1990s production sitting in the warehouse, waiting their turn. One day…

But having found a picture that I didn’t already have last weekend I decided to put it together immediately and remind myself of what I have been missing by not building more of these.

A relatively simple scene, with the masts and rigging cutting through a large area of the image meant that after a few hours all that remained was the area of plain blue sky.

Although the card is thin, the fit is good and as far as I can tell, all of the pieces have sufficiently different shapes – at least with the 1008 piece grid – that false fits aren’t possible, so it is obvious when the correct piece has been placed. Therefore slow but steady progress saw the remainder of the pieces placed and the puzzle completed – at least as far as I could take it with the available pieces.

Three pieces missing 🙁

Bought more jigsaws…
