Here’s how you make this traditional Sri Lankan sweet treat at home!
Ingredients:
White Raw Rice Flour 500 g
Coconut Treacle 1 cup
Sugar 1/4 cup
Cashew 50 g
Ground Ginger 1/2 tsp
Method:
Roast the white raw rice until golden brown and leave aside.
Heat up a separate pan, and combine coconut treacle and sugar.
Add chopped cashews and ground ginger to the coconut treacle mixture.
Take it off the stove, add the roasted white rice flour and mix well.
Lay out the mixture on a flat tray sprinkled with flour.
Add more flour on top and roll the mixture to an even level.
Cut it into bite-size squares and enjoy!
