Owing to its unstinted contribution in strengthening the country’s economy, OREL IT had been once again recognised with two special awards at the presidential export awards ceremony which had been held recently. The company has claimed the Best Value-added exporter of the year award for 2020-2021 and the women exporter of the year award for 2019-2020 had been claimed by Mrs.Thilaka Ranjani kodituwakku, the chairwoman for OREL Corporation owing to her distinguish leadership at this event held under the patronage of his Excellency the president Mr. Gotabhaya Rajapaksa on the 26th of November,2021 at the BMICH. In fact, the awards were accepted on behalf of OREL Corporation by Mr.Kushan Kodituwakku, the Managing director for the company. Also, Dr. Upendra pieris the CEO for the company, along with Mrs.Gayani Perera, Mr.Vineeth Garusinghe,Mr.Sanka Ranawaka,Mr.Migara Illangarathna, Mr.Nuwandhara Malwatta and Mr. Abdul Gaffoor serving as the chief officials for the company did make their presence on behalf of OREL IT for this remarkable event.
The company has been selected for conferring these awards by a panel of eminent judges as appointed by the Sri Lankan Export development board after carefully observing multiple concerns related to its corporate performance. The major criterion for this selection is indeed based on how OREL IT has provided services to expand the influx of foreign income to the country. Also, OREL IT’s leadership has been honoured due to taking timely yet significant steps to increase the extent of Sri Lankan IT exports.
