Fish Stew | Cooking with Aunty D

 

Ingredients: 

Potatoes 150g

Carrots 100g

Fish (Thalapath) 500g

Cabbage 50g

Water 1 1/2 cups

Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp

Pepper 1 tsp

Salt 1 1/4 tsp

Oil 1 tbsp

Green Chilli 4 nos

Curry leaves/Rampe

Big Onion 1 Large

Capsicum 3 nos

Ginger + Garlic 1 tbsp

Turmeric Powder 1/3 tsp

Curry Powder 1/2 tsp

Pepper 1 tsp

Cloves 2 nos

Cardamom 2 nos

Water 1 cup

Thick Maggi Coconut Milk 2 tbsp

Lime Juice to taste

Corn Flour 1/2 tsp

Water 2 tbsp

Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Add potato, carrot, fish, cabbage and water to a pot. Then add turmeric powder, pepper and salt. Mix together and cover with a lid. Keep aside.
  2. Heat oil in a separate pan and add in green chilli, curry leaves, rampe, onion, capsicum, ginger, garlic, turmeric powder, curry powder, pepper, cloves, cardamom, water and the thick Maggi Coconut milk.
  3. Add the fish mixture to the pan. Stir well and add lime juice to taste. Add Corn Flour, water and salt. Serve while hot.
